What is the Brethren in Need Ministry?

"Brethren in Need" is a ministry that began in 2005 when a brother in our church became critically ill. This young man had no medical insurance and was too sick to return to his own country for treatment. At that time the church had no funds set aside for a situation like this, so a small group of believers in the church took it upon themselves to care for this brother spiritually, physically, and financially. Through this situation the church formed what is now called the Brethren in Need Ministry. This ministry is designed to help those inside of the church that are in need of emergency assistance and support. The Brethren in Need Ministry provides emergency financial assistance on a case by case basis, and also offers counselling and emotional support during times of crisis.

The heart of this ministry is to be a strength to believers in their time of need James 2:15-16
