The
Beginning
The River of Grace Church first began
in the fall of 2000 as a Sunday evening worship night for those hungry for more
of God's presence. After several months Pastor Don Young felt the call to transition
the River from a praise and worship night, to a church plant in the city of Beijing.

Called
to Reach the Harvest
At
the time with an estimated 250,000 foreigners living in Beijing, and only two
English speaking churches, it was clear in this great city, that the harvest was
plentiful, but the workers were few. In January 2001 the River of Grace Church
began its' first Sunday morning meetings. Later that year Miss Wingee Lee came
on staff as a discipleship pastor and in 2003 Jordan and Sonya Tetley came to
serve as youth pastors. Pastor Don served as the senior pastor until July 2005.
Continuing
the Vision
Since July 2005 Pastors Jordan and
Sonya Tetley have been serving as the Senior Pastors of the River of Grace Church.
They have a passion to see God's presence touch and transform this city. Their
compassion for the poor has lead to the beginning of new church ministries such
as; Mercy Ministry,
Packs of Hope and the launching of To Africa with Love; a ministry to poor and needy children in Liberia, Africa.
