We can make a difference!

At the River of Grace Church we ask all of our members to participate in a program called Hungry for Hunger.

-Each week we ask our congregation to fast (Skip) a meal on Fridays.
-During that time when we would normally be eating we ask everyone to remember those who are hungry through prayer.
-We ask each person to save the money they would normally spend on that meal and set it aside for the poor. At the end of the month we collect it and it goes into projects to help feed the hungry.

Through a simple act of fasting one meal a week we have helped hundreds of orphans in Liberia, Africa by helping help supplement rice. We also have started our first orphanage farm. which we expect will produce its first harvest in the next few months. The orphanage farm also provides employment to four local workers at harvest time will provide food and an income for the orphanage.
